Additional Notes P 1980 by Purbeck School Dorset as Field Studies base. 4 compartments and pantry removed to give kitchen/dining area. At Dean Forest Railway till 1990's. 10/15: reported as at risk of being scrapped if a new owner can't be found. 10/17: talks are at an advanced for acquisition by 2859 Locomotive Group Ltd after which it will be moved to a new location for restoration to begin. 05/18: still at Swindon and Cricklade (see main photo). 10/18: exchange in progress involving this vehicle moving to storage in Stoke-on-Trent and LMS Inspection Saloon underframe 45036 (qv) moving to Swindon and Cricklade Railway. By 04/23: believed to be stored with locomotive 2859 in Congleton - confirmation of this would be welcomed.
