Additional Notes P 1973. Main line certified (for Whitby operation). 08/05/17: delivered to Midsomer Norton on a three year loan from NYMR. This is historically significant because this is the last remaining Mk 1 carriage in the consist of the last excursion train that ran over the S&D on 6th March 1966 (see also record for BR 3815 - now scrapped - on this database). 02/18: one side has now been repainted in BR Maroon livery, recreating appearance on the above train (see main photo); plan is to complete the repainting by 03/18.
