Additional Notes This is a Mk2f DBSO ex BR 9712. It was never used by NIR (delivered to Belfast 26.06.2009). Before sale to Downpatrick the cab equipment was removed. It has been acquired to act as a barrier vehicle in the event of DEMU 8458 failing as the latter has fixed buckeye couplings and cannot be coupled directly to any of the line’s locomotives.
