Present Location | Great Haseley | County Location | Oxfordshire | Designed For | GWR | Build Location | Swindon | Built by | GWR | Diagram number | C10 | Lot number | 744 | Type | T | First Number | 2931 | Gauge | 4ft 8 1/2in | Wheel Arrangement | Body only | Original Underframe | Yes | Original Bogies/Wheelsets | No | Additional Notes | Originally a Third, it was re-worked as a works unit using much galvo sheet: compartments removed and the door configuration changed. Carriage number 2931 - has GWR Bristol chalked on back of one of galvo sheets. Appears to be 8-compartment and was cut in half in order to transport it to its previous location by early 1980s - located next to car repair yard and The Mill House at Great Haseley, Oxfordshire. In poor physical condition, several doors and other parts/sections salvaged and transported to a location in Wallingford for eventual re-assembly as a garden building. By 9/23 only the underframe remains. | Grid Reference | SP 63745 02539 | Rarity | n/a | Storage | Open | Operating | No | Photo Date | 11/09/2017 | Photo by | John Bishop | At Risk | No | Date Record Last Updated | 24/03/2024 |
