Present Location Telford
County Location Telford & Wrekin
Designed For LNWR
Build Location Wolverton
Built by LNWR
Diagram number D444
Type CCTZ
Gauge 4ft 8 1/2in
Wheel Arrangement 6 wheel
Original Underframe Yes
Original Bogies/Wheelsets Yes
Additional Notes End doors present (without any evidence of sealing) and side windows. No visible vents so evidence might point to originally built as Motor Car Van (similar to the example at Quainton) but not converted to Cell Truck. LNWR CCT 11433 (qv) has also been reported as having moved to Telford which would suggest that it is the same vehicle as this one. However, differences of detail shown in the photos put this in doubt. Our enquiries have so far not resolved this puzzle, so we would welcome further information.
