Additional Notes Car H. NAAFI 1942-8. W 1960 for BR(S) 'Holiday Coach', later Departmental use. P W H McAlpine, Mkt Overton; sold 1988 from Carnforth for restaurant with Pullmans 43 and 99, also BR Mk.1 4328. Corridor connections, vents, 15' of one side missing (joined to 43): chairs, tables replaced. The by then derelict property purchased by Sunderland City Council 08/12 and advertised by them as to let. Hotel reopened as "Pullman Hotel, Bar and Restaurant" in 2013 after major refurbishment, this including the three Pullmans. 11/16: Sunderland City Council, owners of the freehold of the site, advise that the whole complex site is now closed and will be redeveloped in early 2017. 03/17: the three Pullmans moved to Barrow Hill for assessment and then restoration work before being moved to a permanent location at Folkestone as part of the Harbour Station / Seafront redevelopment. 06/06/2017: moved to East Kent Railway, arriving today.
