Additional Notes 5-BEL - formed part of 'Brighton Belle' unit 3052. Car D. 750 v 3rd rail. P 1972 by Allied Breweries but stored till leased to NNR in 1981. Unit 3052. Undercar electrical gear removed. 2000: to Keith & Dufftown on 5-year renewable loan. Structural corrosion noted 01/02. Back to NNR 10/08. By 11/09 owned by 5BEL Trust and at Ramparts of Derby for overhaul. To Barrow Hill Roundhouse by 01/11, in green undercoat. By 06/16: with W H Davis Ltd at Langwith Junction for completion of restoration. 12/17: now having the final details of its interior reconstruction completed, and then the seating will begin to follow. 12/19: moved from W H Davis to Crewe LNWR Heritage site for thorough electrical and compatibility testing prior to a move to Eastleigh; 5BEL Trust has allocated the new identity 'Mabel' to this vehicle.
