Deteriorating whilst in open storage. However, by 07/13 rebuilt and back into main line service in the 'Royal Scotsman' set (replacing 99131 'Victory' - this gave the Royal Scotsman set 100 mph capability). Has been allocated TOPS number 99960 (last used for Gresley TK 23890 on the NYMR). Ownership transferred to the Belmond Group early 2014. 02/15: now in Royal Scotsman Set BT55 based at Carnforth, operationally based at Edinburgh Craigentinny (Summer only). 11/17: now in Set EC00, operationally based at Edinburgh Craigentinny (Summer only), with Winter maintenance by Arlington Fleet Services Limited at Eastleigh Works. 2019: now based at Assenta Rail, Earnock Sidings / E.G.Steele site, Hamilton. |
