Additional Notes 100 seater. Rebuilt from three six-wheel carriages (SER Brown Marshall 792 of 1899, half of SER Cravens Third of 1897, and in middle two compartments from unidentified SER vehicle). SECR allocated 1440, but into service 04/1927 as composite SR 5546 (steam hauled although it had been a prototype for conversions of steam stock to electric haulage). Downgraded to all-Third 1943 as 1050. P Bluebell 05/63. By 06/19: moved into carriage shed at Horsted Keynes (see second additional photo).
