Additional Notes 650 v 3 rail. P 91 Wirral Borough Council as 'Ivor T Davies GM': BR Kirkdale until in 1996 to Mersey & Tyneside Electric Preservation (MATEP) and to Steamport; Coventry by end of 1999. Much of interior stripped, stored within. U/frame gear largely complete. Displayed with 29720 and 29289 (qv) - owned by Heritage Electric Trains Trust. 09/16: noted that appears to have suffered a small upholstery fire within area/compartment near cab just above number. 30/05/2018: following closure of Electric Railway Museum at Coventry, now located at Locomotive Storage Ltd site at Westwood, Margate (part of Hornby works, being planned for a future public railway heritage attraction to be called the One:One Collection). 03/24: moved from Margate to Cambrian Heritage Railways, Llynclis: Heritage Electric Trains Trust has decided to retain this vehicle to tell the story of Class 503 EMUs but to scrap the other two vehicles in the unit, 29289 and 29720 (qv), after recovering useful components, unless new homes can be found.
