Additional Notes LSWR Diner 72, rebuilt 1931 as nondescript saloon 7834, later USATC Ward Car 201. To Bicester early 1950s. Carried Queen in 1978. Extensively rebuilt for use as Inspection Saloon at Bicester, where end saloons modified and observation windows fitted. To auction 02/13. Acquired by the NRM 07/14 and into the Great Hall by 28/08/14. NRM have surveyed and confirmed ID and history. 07/16: now on display in Great Hall (see main photo) housing WW1 ambulance train exhibition.
