Additional Notes One of three General Utility Vans (GUVs) strengthened for circus elephant transportation. (Others were SR 4598 & 4601). Sold to Chipman Chemical Company and first used as Staff & Dormitory Van. Displaced 1991 and converted for a railhead treatment train. Abandoned OOU at Horsham Engineers Sidings. Eventually sold 11/11 by Network Rail to IoWSR. Stored at Mid Hants and then to IoWSR 05/12. Body dismantled early 2014. Reconditioned underframe (shown above - shortened by 5 feet and brakes converted to air) - will ultimately carry body of LCDR 5-compartment Brake 1185 (4115)(q.v.) but at 06/16 was being used temporarily to carry body of SECR 1133 (qv). 02/20: released from accommodating body of SECR 1133 (qv).
