Additional Notes | Built 1898-1902, one of 54 built. Accommodation comprised luggage area, toilet, then open Third Class section split into three bays with one a smoking section, then First section. Was in use as a cricket pavilion by Cricket Club at Burton Salmon, Ferrybridge, North Yorkshire until Club folded sometime in 1990s. Since re-felted and subsequently in use as a stable. Had deteriorated considerably by 04/03. 07/16: offered free of charge via Facebook from location still grounded in field at Burton Salmon. By 12/16: acquired and relocated to North Cave, East Riding of Yorkshire by owners who intend to conserve it. 2018: No 2935 found chalked on back of the original toilet door once a hardboard panel had been removed; this tallies with '35' found on a visit in July 2003 to this vehicle at its previous location. |
