Additional Notes | Was the catering coach of the 1977 ECML "Silver Jubilee" train - the last Deltic-hauled named express to carry a regular headboard in BR service. Internally, the coach was refurbished and carried a display of photographs of the first 25 years of the Queen's reign.
Purchased by Riviera Trains, stored at Crewe Carriage Shed. Then purchased by CAR Services (UK) 10/03 ex Old Oak Common. To Meldon Quarry for restoration and eventual lease to Dartmoor Railway. Then to private owner and to Llangollen 05/09 for continuing restoration. Has been converted to a full kitchen (no seating). No activity evident when seen 10/14 and 05/18 (at Carrog). 06/21: moved from Llangollen Railway to South Devon Railway. |
