Additional Notes | Six-wheeler. Only recently identified. Chassis re-used 1932 as underframe for LMS CCT 5012 (qv). Preserved at Rutland and then Swindon & Cricklade. Two buffer turrets have been changed in opposite corners by British Steel. CCT body scrapped (having become very rotten) 06/08 and chassis moved to Midsomer Norton to be re-used again for restoration of body of MR 255 (qv). Attached to MR 255 20/12/2010. 29/06/20: moved with MR 255 from Midsomer Norton to East Somerset Railway. |
