Additional Notes | Built as a Restaurant Car in the 1920's and rebuilt as a Cafeteria Car in the early 1950's with BR windows and a formica interior. 9 side windows, with sliding sidelights replaced with Mk1 versions suggests Restaurant (diag 11, 16 or 145). Prior to this resting place it was used as a transport cafe alongside the A96 near Huntley. Then was in use as a club room for the local Clay Pidgeon Shooting Club. 06/17: ownership of this vehicle is unknown. It straddles a burn (see second additional photo) which is the boundary between two adjoining properties whose owners intend to dispose of the body in the near future. Anyone wanting parts should actively consider retrieving them asap. Confirmed broken up on site in 2019. |
