Additional Notes | Built 11/1886. W 12/1924 at Ely station. Then in 1926, with GER 352 (qv), to Lynn Road, Ely, first as fruit storage shed, then forming part of a bungalow with 352 (for son and daughter-in-law of owner of the site and both carriages). Seats and some partitions removed. Upon death of Ely bungalow's owners in 1983, both carriages were acquired for preservation by new owners connected with the North Lincolnshire Locomotive Society and moved to Mount Pleasant Farm, Archer Road, Waltham, near Grimsby in April 1985. In good condition at that time, mainly requiring painting. 355 was later moved to Fulstow. Remains in good order. Expected eventually to go on chassis of 22t plate wagon B933413 (041611). |
