Additional Notes | Converted by LNER for casualty evacuation train duties. Further converted 08/1943 at York Works to a ward car for overseas use as No. 2704, in US Army hospital train No. 27. When back to the LNER, was renumbered 70361 and returned to general duties. Sold to Lakeside & Haverthwaite in 1970 as number LHR71. Sold to the Severn Valley Railway in 2009, then exchanged with 4069 (qv) to become a RVP vehicle, on the Great Central Railway. By 06/15: in Rothley C&W Shed for restoration. 10/18: refurbished and renumbered (2704) as Ambulance coach in readiness for GCR WW1 commemorative weekend on 10/11th November 2018. |
